High school and middle school students from Florence County Schools recently traveled to Washington D.C. for a trip planned and organized through World Classrooms. The students spent four days touring Washington and the surrounding area. Gathering at the World War II Memorial, from left, in back are Gregori Rodaer, Matthew Smith, Bradly Steber, Caleb Baker, Ceci Mills, Naomi Millan, Lily Soderberg, Delaney Donahue, Quinn Cassidy, Ella DeRoche, Aries Fennessy, Harper White and Anjuli White; in front are Greta Nault and Serenity Aten. Students were accompanied by Jeannette Sword, school interventionist, and Mallori Feuerhammer, guidance counselor, as well as several parents. “They visited many monuments, memorials, museums and battlegrounds,” Sword said. “It was a great learning experience for the kids and they all loved it.” (Submitted photo)
