NORWAY — Music in the Park continues this week as the Descendants perform for the sixth concert of the season.
The free summertime music series is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the bandshell in downtown Norway.
The Descendants is made up of local musicians, and features Katie Whitens, vocals; Robert Norton, vocals/guitar; Ryan Whitens vocals/guitar; Cody Whitens, bass; and Wyatt Aderman, drums. Their show has classic rock hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s with a splash of country mixed in, delivering a show for everyone. From blending harmonies to great guitar playing and a solid beat to hold it all together, this is a show not to be missed.
“We hope folks that come into Iron Mountain for this week’s Out to Lunch concert with Todd and Amber will enjoy the afternoon, have a nice dinner in the area and come on down to beautiful Band Shell Park in Norway for our sixth free performance of this summer’s series. The Descendants are going to bring a really fun show,” MIP Executive Director Carol Sundstrom said.
Another beautiful summer evening greeted music lovers last Thursday as the fifth Music in the Park concert of the 2023 season took place. The popular Menominee-based duo Goodfellas performed, and it was great to welcome them back to the series.
