MARINETTE, Wis. — The body of a man missing since mid-January was found Saturday in a wooded area in the town of Athelstane, Marinette County Sheriff Randy Miller said.

Theodore “Teddy” Egge of Crivitz, Wis., had been reported missing Jan. 13. No foul play is suspected, but the case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office and Marinette County Medical Examiner’s Office, Miller said.

Egge had last been seen walking from Benson Lake Road in Athelstane after asking for directions to Boat Landing 7 Road.

Dispatch received a call at 2:48 p.m. Saturday from two parties who said they had located a deceased person, authorities said. When officers arrived, the body was identified as Egge.
