Hardcore Outfitters joins Dickinson chamber

THE DICKINSON AREA Chamber of Commerce recently had a ribbon-cutting ceremony for new member Hardcore Outfitters. From left, representing Hardcore Outfitters are Jason Raiche, Phil Galeazzi and owners Jeremy — with children Aubrey and Camden — and Nicole Mortl. Joining them are chamber ambassadors Teresa Schettler, Sherri Erickson, Debbie Crandall, Mindy Meyers, Kenzie Williamsen, Jon Pryor, Cole Grenier and Tyler Swanson; and Suzanne Larson, chamber executive director.
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Hardcore Outfitters to its roster of 400-plus members.
Hardcore Outfitters was created in 2013 by Mike, Connie and Jared Pelletier. In December, Jeremy and Nicole Mortl purchased the business from the Pelletiers. Both are locals and have two children, Aubrey and Camden. Jeremy also owns Messersmith Manufacturing in Bark River.
Phil Galeazzi is manager of the day-to-day operations and there are two part-time sales associates, Josh Milo and Cole Brackett.
Hardcore Outfitters is a full archery and fishing pro shop that will work on any manufacturer of compound or crossbow. Outfitted with a full bow repair shop, Hardcore Outfitters offers custom bow strings by Tom Parkinson of Iron Mountain, who has more than 40 years’ experience in the bow industry. Before any bow leaves the store, it is tuned and ready to go.
Also included in the store is a 20-yard indoor archery range and Technohunt, which is similar to a virtual video screen. Anyone can visit to try it out.
Hardcore Outfitters carries brands such as Mathews, Hoyt and Bear compound bows; plus Ravin, Centerpoint, Mathews and Bear crossbows, along with all accessories to get ready for the woods. They also offer a selection of Baffin, Kenetrek, Dryshod and Vasque boots for every season. Hardcore Outfitters also stocks clothing from brands such Mountain Hard-Wear, Simms, HUK and STLHD, as well as a nice selection of clothing by Sitka for hunting.
Looking to get gear for the water? Hardcore Outfitters has Steel Head and summer fishing items plus a large selection of Wapsi products to tie flies — or grab a few from the done-for-you selection, which has more than 400 different styles of hand-made flies. Fishing rod brands in the store include St. Croix, Orvis, Raven, Fenwick and Lews. Those more into fishing without a boat can find a selection of Simms and Orvis waders and boots to help stay dry.
If the trails are more the thing, they have many selections of trail cameras, both cellular and non-cellular. They are a Garmin dealer as well.
Hardcore Outfitters is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1616 N. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain.
