Winging It: Birding Club to start at the Dickinson County Library
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain will host a monthly birding club from 10 to 11:30 a.m. starting Saturday.
Programmer Emily Cummings is thrilled to be starting the club. Cummings says she has wanted to start this program for a while and is excited to kick it off at the start of spring.
All summer long the club will meet on the first Monday of every month and is open to adults and children in third grade and older.
This club will include bird watching tips, fun activities, guest speakers and photo sharing. The first meeting will be an introduction, and attendees are encouraged to share ideas.
Founded in 1967, the Dickinson County Library has three sites: the main library in Iron Mountain, the Solomonson Branch in Norway and the North Dickinson Branch in the North Dickinson County School building in Felch Township.
