NORWAY — The Norway City Band, established in 1882, will soon start preparing for its 2025 summer concert season.

Their season starts under the direction of state Sen. Ed McBroom with the first practice at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at the Norway City Hall on Main Street.

Concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. June 3 and take place at the Band Shell, next to the City Hall, unless otherwise noted.

New members are welcome, and are encouraged to check the band out at the first or second practice.

The 2025 scheduled includes —

— May 6: Practice;

— May 13: Practice;

— May 20: Practice

— May 26: Memorial Day Service at Norway Cemetary;

— May 27: Practice;

— June 3: Concert;

— June 10: Practice;

— June 17: Concert;

— June 24: Practice;

— July 1: Practice;

— July 4: Parade and concert;

— July 8: Practice

— July 15: Concert at the Jake Menghini Museum, with a 7 p.m. start time;

— July 22: Practice;

— July 29: Concert;

— Aug. 5: Concert.
