Holy Tuesday service set
KINGSFORD — The Dickinson County Community Chorus and the Iron Mountain Area Clergy Association has planned its annual Holy Tuesday service on Tuesday, April 15.
The program, which begins at 7 p.m., takes place at American Martyrs Catholic Church, 908 W. Sagola Ave. in Kingsford. Handicap access is available on the parking lot side of the church. Handicap parking and a ramp entrance is also available behind the church.
The ecumenical service consists of scripture readings and choral anthems based on the Lenten season.
The 65-member chorus is under the direction of principal conductor Crystal Hogan and accompanied on piano by Jean Panek. Assistant conductors Dawn Kranz and Jeremiah Garrigues-Cortelyou will direct the women’s and men’s ensembles respectively. Mary Lee will lead the congregational singing on organ.
All area residents are welcome. There is no charge for admission; a free-will offering will be taken by members of the Kiwanis Club to further the charity work of the Iron Mountain Area Clergy Association.
For those who cannot attend, the choral service will be videotaped and posted on the American Martyrs Church at https://americanmartyrskg.org within a few days following the event.
The chorus and clergy association thanks American Martyrs Parish and Monsignor Joseph Gouin for hosting the Holy Tuesday Service.
