IRON MOUNTAIN — The General Federation of Women’s Club will meet at noon Friday at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.

The program will be a recognition of all past presidents and honoring the former Women of Achievement/Ms. Federation recipients.

The menu features a “Lenten Luncheon,” of a grilled cheese sandwich and wild rice and mushroom soup. Luncheon reservations should be made with Joyel Brule by text at 906-282-0650 or email jbrule54@gmail.com.

Club members are reminded that dues will be accepted at the April, May and June meetings. Deadline for payment is June 30. Members can write one check for $85 — $20 for luncheon and $65 for dues, with a note lunch/dues in the memo line. To save time, checks can be written before arrival.

The annual Book Sale, sponsored by the GFWC, will be April 9-11 at the Midtown Mall in Iron Mountain. The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 9-10, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 11.

Newer books will be accepted for donation on Monday and Tuesday, April 7-8.

This is the club’s major fundraising activity for the year, please consider making a purchasing books from this event.

The club’s May 2 meeting will be one not to miss, Lydia’s by Crock and Rocker will present a spring/summer fashion show.
