GFWC to meet Friday at Pine Grove
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Club will meet Friday at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.
The meeting will begin at noon; however, members are asked to arrive and be seated before the start time.
The program will be presented by Megan Rose, director of the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain. She will give an outline on the many services the library provides to the community, new programs being offered to many different age levels and a list of “new” book titles now available at the library.
In keeping with the February “love” theme, she encourages the women’s club and the community as a whole “To Fall in Love With Our Library Services.”
The menu will be a taco salad in a baked shell. The alternative menu choice is a chef salad.
Luncheon reservations should be made with Joyel Brule before Tuesday. Text Brule at 906-282-0650 or send an email to jbrule54@gmail.com.
Club callers will contact members who do not use messaging for their reservations.
GFWC members are reminded of the upcoming “used book sale” they will be sponsoring at the Midtown Mall. The sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 9-10, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 11.
Members are asked to start collecting “newer” books to be donated to the club’s book sale in April.
No textbooks, encyclopedias or old books will be accepted. Books must be in excellent condition.
