Dickinson library events this month
IRON MOUNTAIN — Dickinson County Library and branches have these events scheduled for late February:
— Book Club: 2 to 3 p.m. today at the Solomonson Branch in Norway.
Adults are invited to discuss this month’s book club selection, “Wandering Stars” by Tommy Orange. New members are welcome.
— Glass Painting: 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the North Dickinson Branch in Felch Township.
Adults will use acrylic paint pens to create designs on a wine glass. Registration is required; call 906-542-7230. Space is limited.
— Gamers’ Club: 3:15 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the North Dickinson Branch.
Students in third through eighth grades are invited to play a variety of video and board games.
— Glass Painting: 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.

— Bow Wows and Books: 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Solomonson Branch.
Patrons of all ages and reading abilities can practice their reading skills aloud by reading to therapy dogs Azul, a Siberian husky mix, and Belle, a black Lab mix. Required is registration; call 906-563-8617 to sign up.
— 15th-annual Prom Dress Swap: 3 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28; 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1; and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2; Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.
Teens are invited to choose a dress and/or accessories, such as a tie, shoes and jewelry, free of charge. Teens do not need to donate an item or be a library cardholder to participate. All are welcome. Dresses and accessories will be available for browsing during library hours beginning at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. All branches are now accepting donations of clean and gently used dresses, ties, shoes and accessories during library hours. Donations will be accepted at any time at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain, and through Thursday at the Solomonson and North Dickinson branches.
