K-9 officers Cheeto, Scout at Dickinson library Saturday
IRON MOUNTAIN — The public is invited to meet Dickinson County’s newest K-9 officers, Cheeto and Scout, along with their handlers from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.
K- Officer Cheeto started with the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department last June, and his partner is Sheriff Deputy Randall Howe.
K-9 Officer Scout joined the Kingsford Public Safety Department in September, and his partner is Kingsford Public Safety Officer Rodney Woodward.
“Dickinson County Library is eager to provide the opportunity to meet these incredible officers in our community,” said Emily Cummings, library programming coordinator. “It’s such a fun way to learn more about them and thank them for their service.”
At the program, attendees will learn how the officers came to the area, what type of training the dogs have received, and their special skills.
There will have a question-and-answer session, along with time to give a special treat to thank the officers for keeping the community safe.
No registration is required for this program and all ages are welcome.
