Members of the Iron Mountain-Kingsford General Federation of Women’s Clubs had an appreciation party for the veterans of the Community Living Center at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain. Veterans received gifts of games, decorations, books, personal care items, candy, cake and ice cream. The gifts were brought by Women’s Club VA Chairman Inez Riverside and committee members Dorleen Uhazie and Janise Bilski. The Women’s Club has the party each year near Veterans Day to honor and thank the veterans for their service. The party was coordinated by Heather LaPalm, VA recreation therapy assistant. Music was provided by Jim Edberg. Kathy Dan, an LPN and VA employee, assisted in passing out treats and gifts to veterans. From left are Uhazie, Bilski and Riverside.
