The Florence Wild Rivers Interpretive Center & Gift Shop plans event Dec. 7
FLORENCE, Wis. — The Florence Wild Rivers Interpretive Center & Gift Shop will host Christmas in Florence activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
Santa Claus will visit for photos from 10 a.m. to noon.
The event also will have free refreshments, free door prize drawings and a variety of gifts at 20% off.
The public is invited to see the new Christmas items and “Shop Local” for Northwood’s gifts, puppets, T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, books and other novelty gifts in all price ranges.
They should also take time to explore the many exhibits and wildlife mounts, including full body mounts of an albino buck, a mother black bear with cubs, gray wolf, coyotes, bobcats, bald eagle and other birds, fish and more.
The staff can also share ideas and brochures for attractions to see in Florence County and the surrounding region.
The center is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday until Christmas.
The center is at 5628 Forestry Drive, on the corner of Highway 70 and U.S. 2 on the southwest edge of downtown Florence.
