IRON MOUNTAIN — The monthly meeting of the Northwoods Philatelic Society stamp club is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the fellowship room of First Lutheran Church, 1210 S. Stephenson Ave. in Iron Mountain, between Domino’s Pizza and Slumberland Furniture.

A short business meeting and educational program, will be followed by the usual informal stamp club auction. Members are encouraged to bring up to five lots for the auction, and the club will also auction lots of recently acquired stamps.

They promote the fun and fellowship of stamp collecting. The club is comprised of members from both Michigan and Wisconsin and is open to students as well as adults.

Collectors range from very new to sophisticated. Membership is free; the only requirement is the desire to learn about stamp collecting. The meetings are informal, and everyone is welcome.
