IRON MOUNTAIN — The Iron Mountain-Kingsford Women’s Club will have its monthly meeting at noon Friday, Oct. 4, at Pine Grove Country Club in Iron Mountain.

Reservations from club members are due by Monday. They can be made by calling or texting social chairwoman Joyel Brule at 906-282-0650.

The luncheon is chicken pot pie or a chef’s salad as an alternative.

Reservations or cancellations can only be made with the social chair, as Pine Grove does not handle the reservations.

The feature speaker for the meeting will be club member Nancy Nelson. She will tell members about her experiences living in New Zealand last winter.

Club members are asked to help with the annual Clothing for Warmth community service project.

Members can donate new hats, mittens and gloves for children at both the October and November meetings. Needy children at the Breitung Township and Iron Mountain school districts will receive these donations to help them be properly dressed in the cold winter months ahead.
