Annual Duck Race Saturday in Niagara

NIAGARA, Wis. — The Niagara Knights of Columbus will have its annual duck race Saturday at Heights Park in Niagara.
The grounds open at 3 p.m., with the race starting at 6 p.m. Local country band 141 North will provide live music beginning at 7 p.m.
The Knights of Columbus will have several random drawings before and after the race, including 50-50 drawings.
Ducks will be for sale for $5 each. One additional duck will be given for each $25 purchase. Those who spend $100 will receive 25 ducks and entry into a special drawing for $500 that will take place after the race.
Prizes include $1,000 for first, $500 for second, $400 for third, $300 for fourth, $200 for fifth and $100 for sixth. A $50 prize will be awarded for the last duck to finish.
Ducks can be purchased from Bob Burton or any other Knights of Columbus member. Ducks are also available at local bars. Winners do not have to be present at the event.
A bean bag tournament will start at 5 p.m., with a cost of $20 per team. Pre-registration is encouraged. To enter, call Burton at 715-251-4714.
A free washer throw game will also begin at 5 p.m. for ages 12 and younger.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase on the ground. No carry-ins are allowed at the fundraiser.
