Bestselling Christian author at library Tuesday
IRON MOUNTAIN — The Dickinson County Library will host a Book Breakdown with the Christian Book Assocation’s bestselling author Susie Finkbeiner from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dickinson County Library in Iron Mountain.
Finkbeiner will share the inspiration and background for her novel “All Manner of Things” with teens and adults. There will also be a Q&A session, book signing, and refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library. Attendees will be entered into a prize drawing to win an autographed book.
“We are excited to have been chosen as one of the libraries hosting Michigan Notable authors this summer,” Emily Cummings said. “We have several of Ms. Finkbeiner’s books at the library and look forward to learning more about them and her in June. She has expressed great enthusiasm in visiting the U.P.”
Finkbeiner is the Christian Book Association’s bestselling author of “The All-American,” “The Nature of Small Birds,” “All Manner of Things” — which was selected as a 2020 Michigan Notable Book — and “Stories That Bind Us,” as well as “A Cup of Dust,” “A Trail of Crumbs,” and “A Song of Home.”
Finkbeiner’s visit is part of the 2024 Michigan Notable Books Author Tour, which the Dickinson County Library was selected to be a host.
This tour was made possible by the Library of Michigan, the Library of Michigan Foundation, and Michigan Humanities, funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
