Deb Deli from the Howard-Suamico Lions Club, who is a leader dog puppy raiser and trainer, recently gave an interesting presentation on the Leader Dog Program to the Niagara Lions Club. Leader Dog’s programs give people the tools, skills and confidence to travel independently. Leader Dog’s Orientation and Mobility (white cane skills) and guide dog programs are for people age 16 or older whose daily travel is affected by vision loss. Leader Dog is 100% philanthropically funded. They believe anyone living with vision loss deserves access to the services they need to travel safely and confidently, so all their programs are provided at zero cost. They rely on the generosity of all people who share the Leader Dog mission.
