What a lousy couple of choices for answers. How about we need these services, but increasing taxes is certainly not the answer. How about we get some people in there that can balance a checkbook and cut the actual fat! Not cut programs we need to make political statements!

Decriminalize, regulate, and tax the*****out of cannabis. That will make up the short fall and probably be a excess.

The United States spends more public and private money on education than other major countries, but its performance doesn't measure up in areas ranging from high-school graduation rates to test scores in math, reading and science. Spending more money on programs only leads to more fraud, waste, and abuse. Spend money more wisely instead of just asking for more.

Because a lot of the cuts will be to programs for people who can't afford to even buy food, let alone pay for gas or electricity.
