I think it should be NO DOG. I don't think his kids want to walk around the White House grounds with a pooper-scooper every day.

This is by far the most stupid question The Daily News has asked yet. Maybe Madonna or Paris Hilton care what kind of dog he gets, but I sure don't! As far as I'm concerned, he's just another celebrity to be worshipped by the media.

Why didn't they include the choice of pound mutt in this survey? People are going to want to have what the Obama's have and if the President gets a purebred, or even worse a "designer dog" that is what people will want. That will encourage puppy mills because people will breed just to make a buck. This will just lead to more mistreated dogs in the puppy mills and more poor dogs will end up in the pounds when the novelty of owning a dog like the Obama's wears off. If the Obamas would adopt a pound pup maybe more people would do to same and save more dogs from being destroyed just because no one wanted them.
