ESCANABA - Basic excel, a seven hour hands-on workshop, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, July 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through MTEC at Bay College in Escanaba.
During the basic excel workshop, participants will learn spreadsheet terminology, work with ranges, rows, and columns; learn how to enter and edit text, values, formulas; navigate worksheets and workbooks; move and copy data; and save workbooks in various formats.
In addition, simple functions, basic formatting techniques, and how to manage large workbooks, will also be explored.
The seven hour hands on intermediate excel workshop will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Building on the basic features of excel, participants will learn to become more proficient in such tasks as using advanced chart formatting options, sorting and filtering data, using special formatting options, creating and managing templates, protecting worksheets, and using PivotTables and PivotCharts.
Cost for each workshop is $155, and includes a workbook for future reference and additional practice. Registration deadline is today for Basic Excel and Wednesday, July 30, for Intermediate Excel.
