IRON MOUNTAIN - Two suspects wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a residence in Iron Mountain last summer have been apprehended in Pennsylvania.
Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards said that the 35-year-old Niagara, Wis. man and 26-year-old Fort Myers, Fla. woman waived extradition back to Michigan on Tuesday.
Their names will not be released until after they are arraigned in Dickinson County District Court, she added.
The suspects were arrested on outstanding warrants in Pennsylvania on March 8. The incident they are wanted for occurred in Iron Mountain on Aug. 6, 2013.
According to officers from the Iron Mountain Police Department, three subjects dressed in black entered a residence on the 200 block of West Brown Street. They proceeded to rob the male resident at knifepoint, taking medical marijuana and cash.
The resident sustained non life-threatening injuries while attempting to resist the subjects, said officers.
One of the three subjects, 17-year-old Jacelin Sims of Iron Mountain, has already been sentenced for his part in the crime. Sims was ordered in December to serve a minimum of three years in prison.
