NIAGARA, Wis. - Louis J. Pirlot, born on Jan. 29, 1937, passed away peacefully at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara on March 6, 2014. He died as a result of multiple health complications.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Bilgreen); son, Keith (Pam); daughter, Jody Glocke (Brian); grandchildren, Keith (Christy) Pirlot, Amanda Pirlot, Michael Glocke and Nicholaus Glocke; and a great-granddaughter, Amelia Pirlot.
Louie was born and raised in Kingsford. As an adult he moved to Milwaukee and then Slinger, Wis., while he worked for 33 years at Eaton Corporation. In retirement, he and Jean moved back north to Homestead Wis., where he began an extensive restoration of a historic farmstead which became their retirement playground. Louie's passions were spoiling his grandchildren, deer hunting, caring for and talking about his horses, drinking coffee, watching Fox News and enjoying his favorite local restaurants. He was well known for his exuberant personality and exciting fall hay rides. He was a devout Baptist and member of the Homestead Baptist Church. He was liked and loved by many and is sorely missed.
