IRON MOUNTAIN - Round three voting in The Daily News Pet Idol Sweepstakes begins today, announced Diane Adams, Newspapers in Education (NIE) coordinator.
There are 22 pets vying for the title of Pet Idol winner.
The winning pet will become the Daily News Newspapers in Education mascot for the 2014-15 school year, Adams said.

Voting ends at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14.
Each vote is a 25 cent donation to the Newspapers In Education program. Ballot stuffing is encouraged, Adams said.
"Not only will the winner become the mascot for the 2014-15 school year, but the top four vote-getters will receive prizes," Adams said.
Pet Idol prizes were donated by Freeman's Photography, Karen's Studio, Tractor Supply, Niagara Animal Hospital, Iron Mountain Animal Hospital, Tara's Grooming Station, Spread Eagle Pet Motel, The Bow Wow "Wow" LLC, Paws & Claws, Heart to Heart Pet Salon, Maple Leaf Kennels, Ray's Feed Mill, Kmart, Grooming Gallery, Bigari's Ace Hardware and Pet Supplies Plus.
