CRYSTAL FALLS - Iron County residents will have one millage renewal proposal to consider in today's election.
There are no other proposals on the ballot.
The proposal is for 1.5 mills for a period of five years, 2015 through 2019, to provide funds for the West Iron District Library.
This millage is estimated to raise $398,752.58 in the first year of the levy.
The previously authorized millage will expire in 2014.
The proposal will be on the ballot in Iron River, Caspian, Gaastra, Bates Township, Iron River Township, and Stambaugh Township.
Michigan law requires full disclosure of where revenue from the millage will be disbursed.
