KINGSFORD - Helen J. (Hochmuth) Gustafson, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 15, 2014.
She was born on Oct. 22, 1922, the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Schwartz) Hochmuth of Kingsford.
Helen was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church of Kingsford and served her Lord through the Woman's Association. Helen enjoyed many activities, including baking, gardening, walking, camping, traveling and spending time with her beloved sister, Dorothy Langlois. She had many fond memories of her grandchildren, attending many sporting events. In her later years she found great joy being around her great-granddaughters.

Helen leaves a daughter, Laura (Bill) Stanek of Kingsford, a son, Dale Gustafson of Silvis, Ill.; two grandchildren, Amber (Brian) Bacon and Kevin (fiance Sarah Stream); two great-grandchildren, Alaysa and Briellle Bacon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Langlois, and one bother, Sidney Hochmuth. Helen is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Sarajane Hochmuth.
Helen married her beloved husband Harold on Sep 16, 1950. Harold preceded her in death on April 4, 2002.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. Rev. Michael March will officiate.
Burial will be in Quinnesec Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.
