Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards said that 21-year-old Joshua Scott Cudnohufsky faces two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.

If convicted on both counts, he could spend up to 10 years in prison.

Cudnohufsky is scheduled for a preliminary examination in Dickinson County District Court on Jan. 28. Attorney Daniel Jaspen of Iron Mountain has been appointed to represent him.

The charges against Cudnohufsky stem from a Monday incident in Kingsford.

Officers from the Kingsford Public Safety Department said that they were stopped by a motorist who claimed that Cudnohufsky had pointed a handgun at him while they were both driving on Carpenter Avenue.

With the motorist's description, officers were able to locate Cudnohufsky's vehicle and conduct a traffic stop in the Shopko parking lot.

Officers said that there was a handgun under Cudnohufsky's seat and a second loaded handgun in his vehicle.
