Elections in area on Tuesday

November 4, 2013
The Daily News

IRON MOUNTAIN - Elections are being held in 75 of Michigan's 83 counties on Tuesday, including Dickinson and Iron counties.

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Millage proposals in the Breitung Township School District and contested city council races in Kingsford and Norway will highlight Tuesday's election in Dickinson County.

Two millage proposals will be put before school voters - one for a renewal of the operating millage - and the other for a building and site sinking fund tax levy.

In Iron County, residents in four cities will decide on several city council or commission seats and proposals in Tuesday's election.

City elections are in Iron River, Crystal Falls, Caspian and Gaastra. There are also millage proposals in Caspian and Crystal Falls, and an amendment proposal in Iron River.

For details, see pages 9A and 10A in today's Daily News.
