Norman Neuens Jr.

FLORENCE, Wis. - Norman P. Neuens Jr., 47, of Florence, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.

He was born Oct. 6, 1966, in Statton, Va., son of Butch Neuens and Lorraine Arletta Salczenko Neuens.

Norman grew up in Aurora, Wis., and graduated from Florence High School, class of 1985. He worked for Butch Neuens Landscaping, Stevenson Co-op and Grede Foundry. Norman enjoyed fishing, hunting, bow-hunting and raising beef cows on his small hobby farm. He also loved the Green Bay Packers and was Aaron Rodgers' number one fan. He was a loving and devoted father to his children, the love of his life.

Norman is survived by his father, Butch Neuens of Iron Mountain; one son, Tyler (Chelsea) Neuens of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Shelby (Landen) DeGrave of Aurora, and Samantha Neuens of Homestead, Wis.; seven brothers, Fred (Donnette) Salczenko of Homestead, Paul (Ayse) Salczenko of Panama City, Fla., Bob (Lisa) Salczenko of Iron Mountain, Jeff (Cindy) Salczenko of Houston, Scott (Geneva) Neuens of Aurora, William "Bill" Neuens of Kingsford and Simon Neuens of Iron Mountain; three sisters, Gloria (Paul) Cameron of Appleton, Wis., Dawn (Andy) Lassila of Kingsford, and Sophia Neuens of Iron Mountain; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Arletta Salczenko Neuens; and his nephew, Zachariah Graham Cameron.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

A celebration of life service will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home. Karl Utzat will be the celebrant.

A private graveside service will follow at Fence Cemetery in Fence, Wis.

A memorial will be established in his memory.
