NORWAY - Grace United Methodist Church of Norway will be sponsoring a free Community Meal on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Supper will be served from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Crossroads site, located at 130 ODill Drive behind the Jack Menghini Museum.
"Individuals and families facing economic challenges are especially encouraged to attend, but anyone who would simply enjoy the opportunity to have a good, hot meal and enjoy a visit with friends and neighbors are more than welcome, too," said a spokesperson.
The free meals will also be delivered in the Norway-Vulcan area. Call the church office at 563-8917 before 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, if you are unable to come to the church and would like a meal delivered to you. Please leave a message if you get the answering machine, but be sure to call before the Thursday deadline, since a message you leave after that time may not be received.
This month's meal will be bratwurst stew (potatoes, bratwurst and green beans in sauce) and dessert for take outs. Pork roast, potatoes and other root vegetables dessert and beverages will be served in-house.
The meals program was started last year as a community outreach ministry.
