Send them a bill

October 11, 2013
The Daily News

EDITOR:

Is it possible to send a bill to those nations which were built back up after World War II?

For example, Japan and West Germany did pretty well thanks to the good 'ole USA. Didn't they attack our country and/or go to war against us?

Now that the USA is in debt to the tune of $17 trillion (ten trillion to foreign countries), why not send a bill to these two countries we helped out along with the other countries to whom we owe money?

After all, the USA is literally policing the world against tyranny. If we owe so much money, I feel it is our duty and the duty to the countries we have helped to send them a bill for our services, right?

I think the bill to these countries should be around, oh, about $10 trillion in total. Problem solved.
