Because it’s all about him

October 11, 2013
The Daily News

EDITOR:

It has been a lousy second term for President Obama so far.

Mr. Richard Snowden still resides in Russia and the liberal press has buried the story. In the meantime, he is chirping like a canary divulging information that embarrasses the White House.

Vladimir Putin, who owns Obama, will keep him in Russia until he has nothing more of value left to disclose.

For more than four years the Obama Administration has capitulated to Mr. Putin's demands and accepted his rebukes.

Obama wants a "reset" with a dictator who deals with his opposition harshly. In November 2009 Sergei Magnitsky, a Moscow lawyer and accountant died in a Russian jail at the age of 37. A prison sentence of any length in the new Russia of Vladimir Putin is tantamount to a death sentence.

According to Russian officials 4,121 people died in custody in 2012 alone, although the actual figure is likely far higher. Obama want a "reset" with this butcher?

U.S. credibility took a dive when Obama backed off his military threat and capitulated to Putin in Syria. The Wall Street Journal Editorial Page said "Vladimir Putin has played him for a fool over Syria."

According to some White House staffers, there is a new knick-name for our president. On the Wall Street Journal opinion pages on the weekend of Sept. 21, Peggy Noonan mentioned "Obam-me" because it's all about him and his big thoughts.

The flawed Syria mess, his threats, the climb down, and the lunge at a Russian life-line. The U.S. credibility is a key issue in the Syria drama because of the administrations ineptness.

Americans are worried about their country. They think our economy is in a shambles and our government incapable. We have lost our confidence.

The world is also no longer certain we are a great nation. America isn't even attempting to get its act together.

We got quite a lesson in 2013 how our leaders view our priorities. They wanted gun control and it failed to pass when America viewed the facts and ignored Obama rhetoric.

Immigration reform is stalled on the back burner. His health law is in trouble because of its unpopularity which is rising while the Obama job approval number is now at 46 percent and dropping. The Obama debacle continues and the world is watching a totally bizarre spectacle of a formerly great nation destroying itself from within.

Working Americans are the soul of America, while politicians are undermining the very fibre of this country. They circumvent the U.S. Constitution, disregard many laws and attempt to remake us for their benefit.

This administration is damaging us, our military capabilities, economy and our foreign policy.

Is America losing its grip? We go from one crisis to another, due to political mismanagement. Will they ever figure it out?

As Peggy Noonan wrote on the Wall Street Journal opinion pages, "The world misses the old America. It is a world in a new kind of flux, one that doesn't know what to make of America anymore. In part because of our president."
