The Daily News

IRON MOUNTAIN - A reward is now being offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the recent vandalism of the memorial dedicated to the victims of the July 31, 2008 shooting at the East Kingsford train bridge.

Troopers from the Iron Mountain post of the Michigan State Police said that an anonymous donor has offered a cash reward of an unspecified amount.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the post at 774-2122.

Troopers have declined to give any details at this time regarding the nature of the vandalism or the cost of the damage.

The memorial honors Bryan Mort, 19, of Iron Mountain, Anthony Spigarelli, 18, of Iron Mountain, and Tiffany Pohlson, 17, of Vulcan, who were all shot and killed by Scott John Johnson of Kingsford.

Johnson, now 43, was sentenced to serve three consecutive life terms plus 295 years in prison. He will never be eligible for parole.
