Ronald Palluconi

FELCH - Ronald F. Palluconi, 77, of Felch, passed away peacefully Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Florence, Wis.

He was born July 19, 1935, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Roland and Mary (Mortl) Palluconi.

Ron grew up in Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Chicago to attend medical school and earned his degree in medical technology.

While living in Chicago he met his wife Kathryn. They were married in 1964 and started a family. In 1976 he moved with his wife and three children to Ralph. He purchased a small store which is remembered by many today as Palluconi's General Store. In the early '90s he sold his store and sought employment at Golden Living Center in Florence and worked there until he retired.

He is survived by two sons, James (Lori) Palluconi and Daniel (Carol) Palluconi; his daughter, Christina (Shawn) McGuire; one sister, MaryAnn (Steve) Kohuth of Lake Barrington, Ill; eight grandchildren, Erica (Joe), Amanda, Ronald, Kayla, Megan (Jordan), Mary, Alli, and Scooter; five great-grandchildren; two nieces, Jennifer (Scott) Good and Carolyn (Matt) Pollina; many cousins; and his best friend, James Clement.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Kathyrn (Rupp) Palluconi.

The family would like to give thanks to Jim Clement for all he has done for dad, especially when he took ill. We would also like to thank Christina and her family for all of their help. Thank you to hospice (OSF) for making dad's last few months as comfortable as possible.

Visitation will be Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Foster City.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Rev. Darryl Pepin will officiate.

Burial will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery in Ralph.
