HANCOCK - An exhibit of pastels and watercolor paintings by artist Dave Junttila will be featured at the Finlandia University Maki Library, Hancock, during FinnFest USA through Sunday.

"Junttila's current works reflect his Copper Country and Finnish roots," says exhibit curator Cynthia Cote, director of the Copper Country Community Arts Center. "He aims to colorize the rich local history in his fluid style-striving to define an era when painting was the only medium to achieve art expression in full color."

Junttila resides in the metro Washington, D.C., area. He spends his summers on Big Traverse Bay. He has been a fine artist for more than 30 years.
