PEMBINE, Wis. - Investigation continues into the armed robbery of Bank North in Pembine that occurred a year ago.
Marinette County Sheriff's Department and the FBI are investigating the robbery that occurred at 9:56 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012.
A gunman, described as 6 feet or slightly taller, medium to large build, weighing 200 pounds or more, entered the bank and displayed a chrome nickel-plated revolver in the bank.
He gave instructions that "this was a hold up and demanded money."
He was described by bank employees as wearing a maroon vest over a long-sleeved shirt or jacket, long pants and newer, light-colored, work-style boots.
He was also wearing a shoulder length, dark wig with sunglasses and a dark brimmed hat.
On the top of his right wrist is a star-shaped tattoo with a red center.
No employees were injured nor were any shots fired.
The suspect's vehicle, a dark green mid to late 1990s Chevrolet Blazer with Wisconsin plates FW-2865, was later discovered as stolen and found abandoned several miles from the scene.
Police have no new information in the case.
