Two-car crash

IRON MOUNTAIN - A Felch woman sustained non-life threatening injuries in a two-car crash in Iron Mountain Thursday morning.

Iron Mountain Police Department officers were dispatched to a two-car personal injury accident at the intersection of U.S. 2 and East Fleshiem Street at 7:40 a.m. Thursday.

The accident involved two passenger cars, reported Lt. Ed Mattson of the Iron Mountain Police Department.

A passenger car driven by a 21-year-old woman from Iron Mountain pulled off of Fleshiem Street into the path of a southbound vehicle on U.S. 2, Lt. Mattson said.

The driver of the southbound car, a 52-year-old woman from Felch was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The 21-year-old woman from Iron Mountain was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way at an intersection.

Iron Mountain Police Department officers were assisted on scene by Beacon Ambulance.
