NIAGARA, Wis. - Lorraine M. Curran, 82, of Niagara, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.
She was born in Norway on Jan. 16, 1931, daughter of the late John and Francis (Stachowicz) Zychowski.
Lorraine graduated from Vulcan High School in 1950.
She married Charles Curran on June 18, 1966, and he preceded her in death on June 19, 1988.
Lorraine worked at Asselin Creamery in Norway, the Norway Dry Cleaners and the Norway Sewing Factory.
She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, reading and loved to sew for anybody that needed something tailored or fixed.
Lorraine is survived by her sons, Ronald (Emelia) Curran of Kingsford, Donald Curran of Vulcan and Chris (Jamie) Curran of Niagara, Wis.; grandchildren, Mark (Megan) Curran of Bay City, Kathleen Curran of Petoskey, Amity (Joe) Provencher of Dunbar, Wis., Adam and Skylar Curran of Niagara; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Jeanette) Zychowski of Norway; a sister, Dolores (Harvey) Tomasini of Norway; sister-in-law, Virginia Zychowski of Menominee Falls, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandchild; a brother, Raymond Zychowski; and a sister, Marion Girardi.
Family will greet friends on Thursday, April 4, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the church with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis presiding.
Interment will be held at the Norway Township Cemetery in the spring.
