Lorraine PeriPoli

NORWAY - Lorraine M. PeriPoli, 83, of Norway, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain, with her family by her side.

She was born in Norway on Nov. 28, 1929, the daughter of the late Anselmo and Mary (Bubloni) Mendini.

Lorraine graduated from Norway High School in 1948, and she still enjoyed getting together with her classmates once a month going out to eat.

Lorraine married Roland PeriPoli on July 16, 1949, in Norway. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 2008.

She worked in the kitchen at the Vulcan School and then at the Norway-Vulcan School for many years.

Lorraine's most special times were those spent with her family, especially the weekly Sunday dinners that her granddaughter Katy would help with at her home and the Friday night times with family and friends.

She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, her angel collection, reading her Bible and spending time with her dog "Bailey."

Lorraine was a very kind and gentle person who had a heart of gold.

Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Linda (Bruce) Strauss of Vulcan, Judy (John) Nelson of Waucedah, and Bonnie (Gary) Moore of Aurora, Wis.; grandchildren, Tammy Mattson, Bruce (Robin) Strauss, Shannon Strauss, Sarah (Vern) Kirschner, John, Charity (Tim Cichanofsky), Jesse, Casey, Katy and Jill Nelson, Holly (Brandon) Morrison, Joseph (Shelby) Moore, Carrie (Kevin) Woulf, Andy (Hilary) Moore and Josh Moore; great-grandchildren, Nikki (Dean) Dennocenzo, Alex McDermott, Tucker Mattson, Jacy (Kyle Schoen) Strauss and Jacob Strauss, Matthew, Kacie, Justin and Jordan Harder, Owen Woulf, Alison and Andy Moore, Zach, Alyssa, Lily Moore, Caleb and baby boy on the way Morrison, Stanley Cichanofsky, and Allyssa Kirschner; great-great grandchildren, Parker, Ava and Myah; brother, Calvin Mendini; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.

Funeral services will follow Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr. Timothy Ekaitis, pastor of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
