Valerie M. Edwards, 24, will go to trial in Florence County Court on May 20 and 21.

Florence County District Attorney Douglas Drexler said that he intends to call six witnesses. They include the two victims, a man who witnessed the incident, the two deputies who handled the case, and a lab technician to testify to the marijuana charge.

Edwards' attorney Michael Scholke said that he will call one witness.

Edwards faces two felony counts of recklessly endangering safety-second degree, one misdemeanor count of battery, one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana, and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

If convicted on all charges, she could spend up to 20 years in prison.

According to the criminal complaint in the case, two women claimed that they were talking to a man at an Aurora bar in the early morning hours of New Year's Day when Edwards attacked one of them.

The women stated that when they left the bar, Edwards came after them in a vehicle and almost hit them.
