MARINETTE, Wis. - A Wausaukee, Wis. man accused of killing an Ishpeming teen in a drunk driving accident in Marinette County has accepted a plea deal.
Timothy C. Christ, 28, pleaded no contest on Wednesday to one felony count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and three felony counts of operating while intoxicated causing injury.
Four additional felony counts were dismissed.
Christ faces a maximum penalty of 58 years in prison when he is sentenced in Marinette County Court on May 20.
The charges against Christ stem from an Oct. 5 incident in Middle Inlet, Wis.
According to Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve, a GMC pickup truck operated by Christ pulled onto U.S. 141 and was traveling north when it struck a southbound Chevrolet Impala.
One of the passengers in the Impala, 13-year-old Christopher Croley, was killed. The other three occupants of the Impala, Croley's mother and sisters, were injured.
Christ was not injured.
