U.P. home invasion reported

NEGAUNEE - Troopers and detectives from the Michigan State Police, Munising Detachment is continuing to investigate a home invasion and armed robbery incident that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday at a residence on County Road 440 in Autrain Township of Alger County.

Alan Myron, 19, of Alger County, was assaulted and rendered incapacitated at the residence by multiple suspects. The suspects then robbed the victim of property from within the residence and fled the scene.

Myron was transported to Munising Memorial Hospital by Alger County EMS, where he was treated for injuries sustained in the assault.

Suspects in the incident remain at-large. State police detectives are continuing to investigate this morning, however, no specific suspect descriptions are available at press time.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police Forensic Lab in Marquette, officers from the Alger County Sheriff's Department, Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Alger County EMS.
