Kingsford's Kevin Gravel was a "key player" when St. Cloud State knocked off top-ranked Minnesota 4-3 last week.

St. Cloud (Minn.) Times reported the junior defenseman made a glove save in the crease during a 5-on-3 power play. Gravel tallied two assists and hiked his season total to eight.

"I thought Nic Dowd was the best player on the ice tonight, but Gravel was key with his work ethic and tenacity out there," St. Cloud State Coach Bob Motzko said.

Gravel (6-foot-4, 200), drafted by the LA Kings, shows one goal and a plus six rating for the season.
