IRON MOUNTAIN - Dickinson Amateur Hockey Association's 41 Lumber PeeWee B team will be out to defend its state title.
DAHA will represent District 8 in the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association state tournament March 1-3 in Canton.
In the district tourney at Munising, 41 Lumber knocked off five foes to win the title and advance to state.

Escanaba FNB, 6-1; Newberry, 5-2, and Calumet, 5-1, fell in opening games. DAHA 41 Lumber blanked Marquette 3-0 in the semifinals and outscored Houghton 8-4 in the championship.
Fund-raising efforts are under way to defray costs of the state trip. A radio-thon will start at 7 a.m. Monday on WJNR-The Mountain. Donations can also be made out to DAHA and sent to P.O. Box 313, Iron Mountain, MI., 49801.
District action continues this weekend at Mountain View Ice Arena as the Hall Orthodontic Bantams battle for a chance to defend their state title. Bink's Squirts will head to Iron River for a run at the state tournament.
DAHA skaters, parents and board members expressed appreciation to the community, family and friends for their generous support of youth hockey.
