A recent news report states that a 31-year-old woman, Erika Menendez, was charged with murder for shoving a man to his death in front of a subway train.
How tragic for the family of that man to have to deal with the death of their loved one.
I feel compelled to do something so this situation will never happen again. I am proposing a ban on subway trains.
Why do we need such a fast moving, large capacity vessel to transport so many people when they could be much safer using a bus or taxi?
A bus or taxi could get the job done, so why are we reluctant to ban that menacing subway train?
It wouldn't matter to me if we banned subway trains as I have never ridden on one and don't foresee myself using one in the future.
Oh, but wait. If we ban subway trains and more people start using buses, what is going to happen when people die in bus accidents?
Let's just cut to the chase and go back to using the horse and buggy.
If my sarcasm is lost on you, I am trying to get people to understand that banning high capacity magazines is not the answer.
Let's deal with the problem of mental health. Has any legislature been introduced to address that problem?
