Logging truck rolls over

IRON MOUNTAIN - No one was seriously injured when a logging truck rolled over on Quinnesec Lake Antoine Road after colliding with a car on Thursday.

Police and fire personnel were called to the accident near Fumee Lake Road at approximately 10:50 a.m.

Officials reported there were a lot of logs in the ditch, but no one was trapped in the logging truck. The truck was initially reported to be on fire. Officials then reported there was no fire.

Authorities respond to an accident involving a logging truck on Quinnesec Lake Antoine Road Thursday morning.

The incident occurred when a car was unable to stop at a stop sign near Timberlane Subdivision and slid into the path of the truck. The driver of the car sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Norway Fire Department offered Breitung Township assistance at the accident scene as firefighters were on their way back from a previous accident.

Roads are snow-covered and slick as snow continues to fall today.
