JOLIET, Ill. - Gilford LeDocq, 77, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Joliet.
He was born May 9, 1935, to Charles and Frieda (LeGreve) LeDocq Sr. in Kingsford.
He graduated from Kingsford High School in 1953 as salutatorian of his class. He worked for Ford Motor in Chicago. He worked for Caterpillar in Joliet until his retirement.
He was a member of the Matteson Masonic Lodge 175 of Joliet, Joliet York Rite Bodies, Joliet Shrine Club, Medina Shrine Club, and Scottish Rite Bodies Valley Chicago.
Gilford is survived by his twin brother, Wilford of Joliet; friend, Marilyn Poquette; three sisters, Lillian Rodgers of Kingsford, Lucille Emond of Iron Mountain, Marjorie Gunville of Niagara; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by a dear friend, Cleo Brewster of Joliet.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Annabel Trulock and Arlene Harper; a brother, Charles LeDocq Jr.; two nephews, Kenneth Trulock and Allen Rodgers; brother-in-laws, Carol Trulock, Harvey Rodgers, Norbert Emond, Joseph Harper, Robert Gunville Sr.; and sister-in-law, Luella LeDocq.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
