Iron Mountain’s Zach Caudell (50) slips past North Dickinson’s Justin Clark as the Nordics’ Derek Wagner looks on during Monday’s non-conference boys basketball contest.
"They were a little more aggressive, and they got to the line," Nordics coach Chris Mattson said.
Iron Mountain made 16-of-25 at the stripe while North Dickinson missed 11 freebies.
North Dickinson was led by Logan O'Neil's 12 points. The Nordics were without the services of Cody Berg, who is out with an illness.
"We made better decisions tonight than the first game," Mattson said. "But we have a big void to fill with Berg out. We are struggling to score and someone is going to have to step up."
Luke Zambon added seven points and seven boards for Iron Mountain.
"It wasn't the prettiest game, but anytime you can get a win on the road and hold a team to 37 points, that's a good thing."
Iron Mountain plays at Norway Monday. North Dickinson (0-2) travels to see the Knights Thursday.
Mountaineers won the jayvee game 64-45.
