IRON MOUNTAIN - Iron Mountain Police Department officials have not released any further details about an incident involving the accidental discharge of a firearm that occurred last week.
Dickinson County Sheriff Scott Celello has confirmed that a sheriff's deputy was one of the two people injured when the firearm discharged.
Police were called to the west side at 3:11 p.m. Thursday for a 911 call of a reported accidental discharge of a firearm causing injuries. Police said two injured subjects were transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening gunshot wounds.
