PEMBINE, Wis. - Xaarki Seidel has been the named the winner of the prestigious Wendy's High School Heisman Award for Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine High School.
To be eligible for this award, students must display academic aptitude, athletic talent and community leadership.
Wendy's High School Heisman program, awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman, celebrates the achievements of the nation's top high school seniors both in and out of the classroom.
The daughter of David and Dawn Seidel of Pembine has turned in a successful high school career both academically and in her extra-curricular activities.
She has been actively involved in the following activities - volleyball, softball, student council, SADD, chorus, band, Jazz Band, Hand Bell Choir, drama, forensics, National Honor Society, teen mentoring, dance and golf along with numerous fund-raising events and activities for her graduating class.
She has held officer positions in SADD, Student Council and her class. Seidel is currently a volunteer at the Almost Home Animal Shelter in Iron Mountain. She has also held down a job since 2008 at Paris Pub and Grill in Pembine while attending BDP schools full-time.
She enjoys volunteering to sing the national anthem at home sporting events and has tutored math students in the district.
